McPeek is wonderfully open and plainspoken about the game.

Or you could look at it that Forever Young's fig would have won in 2021 and 2022.

Tried to upload a 46 second clip from the tornado here last night but was unable too. Friend took it from a neighborhood 7 miles away, in 46 seconds 4 large trees came down.
a couple of minutes later it touched down 1-2 miles from our house.

Other side of town where Garvin Woodland Botanical Gardens are got torn up ... Neighbors said you can see clear across the botanical gardens now, as all the trees surrounding it came down. NOAA says it was an EF2. (Way out past the Mall and car dealerships from what I understand, if you are familiar with the area.). Hot Springs, Garland County. Amity, etc.
Prepping for Round 2... goes to about 3am and watches are already up via NOAA for so many counties all across ARKANSAS.
But.......Looking forward to the beautiful weather we are supposed to have for rest of the week though!

McPeek this week.
“The fact that we've removed Lasix from the conversation makes it an even better test. Horses recover quicker without the Lasix. Lasix was a detriment. I know there are guys that will hear me say that and scream, 'I need Lasix.' No, you don't need Lasix. Maybe there are certain horses that do and, yes, we do have bleeders. But they shouldn't be the ones running in the Grade I, Grade II, Grade III races. The two weeks is easier without the Lasix because the Lasix would dehydrate a horse and then you'd have to recoup that fluid within the two weeks.

… per ThoroGraph.
Does it matter? Of course not. Trophies talk, figures walk. But his fig = 4th last year.

"Justify could have raced again. Coolmore wouldn't allow it. Clearly they made the right call because the horse prints money these days".
“Justify had some filling in his ankle, and he is just not responding quick enough for a fall campaign,” Baffert said in a WinStar Farm statement. “We all wanted to see Justify run again, but ultimately it is my responsibility to make sure he is perfect. Without 60-90 days, I can’t be definite.”

I can walk to lake hamilton from where i am. I was on ar weather watchers when they literally said its coming over lake ham. I was pretty scared. The Belle of Hot Spprings came loose and is floating around. On the other side of town out past the mall i hear it is very bad. It skipped downtown proper then touched down futher down central over toward the mall, also by garvin woodlands. I was inside my closet.
The bad news is we are supposed to have a worse scenrio tonight. ARG! We are all sleepless from last night

From DRF.
Justify’s Beyer Speed Figures from the Triple Crown were a 103 in the Kentucky Derby, a 97 in the Preakness, and a 101 in the Belmont Stakes.

Outside of his tainted path through S Cal to the TC, I don’t understand how you can knock anything about JUSTIFY on the track or in the shed. A runner can’t control who runs against him.
He has dominated both places worldwide.
