db......I think your analysis of the race is pretty much where 9 out of 10 of us stand right now. (except of course Dell, who falls in love with a horse every year lol ) (PS Dell, I still hope he wins for you ) They all have looked (the three you mentioned) good on the track. (PS....the other UAE's coming over didn't look as comfortable in the morning as this one)

That's a nice write-up... but please take another look at MD.

What I picked up from the interview was that the granddaughter’s name is Marie. (Not Honor Marie)

I'm just thinking out loud, but what are the chances that you would set out to purchase a horse....and find one who has a sire and dam that is a combination of your grandaughter's or other family member's name?
Or am I not seeing this correctly as that is the way I saw it happening?

Boom 💥 Tom Williams with 5 winning bets in a row including 4 exactas 👏 Thanks Bev! A good day at the races, to be sure. I even had the exacta ($41.80) in the Listed stake at IRE- Cork, so went six-out-of-eight (lost an exacta at Doncaster, but had the winner on top). For the day, $82 in and $143.40 out, so not a great profit % ROI with lots of low-priced winners, but sixty bucks is sixty bucks. TW

Tom, nice day for you so far. 3 in a row with 2 cold exacta boxes with the Classic Trial coming up. Interesting at Sandown. Flat today, over the jumps tomorrow. No surprise considering the race, but your two runners here look physically awesome in the paddock. Thanks Peter. I was a little disappointed with War Rooms in the Trial, not sure if he lacked fitness or didn't see out the trip. Other than the winner, the one I'll take from the race is Macduff (Juddmonte/Beckett). Son of Sea The Stars sat chilly in behind the wire-to-wire winner, and Rossa Ryan was the last one to ask his horse for run, right as Buick did. Westover (Juddmonte/Beckett) won this race two years ago and went on to finish a troubled-trip third in the Derby behind the ill-fated Desert Crown. 12F might be a question mark, but he'll love today's distance. Just found my new Sea The Stars crush horse for 2024, though waiting for the Sunderland horses to make a start or two. TW
